More than a year ago, somewhere around november 2012, I builded a MOC purely from parts of the 8421 Mobile Crane. I was never very satisfied by the official B model and finally I had time to build one.
Half a year later, Lego brought the 42009 Mobile Crane MK II on the market, which inspired me to make the MOC better then the first version. Here is the final result after 8 rebuilds / modifications:
It's features:
- 6 cylinder boxer engine
- raising the boom by pneumatic functions
- extending the boom by the rc buggy motor
- lifting fork with adjustable angle

- 4-wheel realistic steering for sharper turns
